Home/The Sightline Standard — 12 promises on every visit

Our written service standard

The Sightline Standard

Twelve things that happen on every single visit, published so you can hold us to them. This is the checklist our crew actually works from.

  • Licensed & insured — certificate on request, any time
  • Our own uniformed crew. Never a subcontractor in your driveway
  • Before-and-after photos on every single visit
  • You pay after the work is done and you have walked it

Most exterior cleaning is sold on the result. We think the result is the easy part — what actually separates one company from another is what happens in the two hours nobody is watching. So we wrote it down, we train to it, and we hold ourselves to it whether you are home or at work.

This is not marketing language. It is the checklist our crew works from, published so you can hold us to it. If any of the twelve does not happen at your house, tell us and it is on us to fix.

The Sightline Standard

Twelve things, every visit.

  • A text before we comeYou get a message with who is arriving and when. No unannounced trucks in your driveway.
  • A uniformed crewOur own people, in Sightline shirts and a marked truck. We don't hand your house to a subcontractor.
  • A walkthrough with youBefore anything gets wet, we walk the property together and you tell us what matters.
  • Before photosWe photograph the starting condition, so the after photos mean something.
  • Plants and hardscape protectedBeds pre-soaked, furniture moved, patios and walkways covered or rinsed. We plan for your landscaping before we plan for our hose.
  • Careful screen handlingScreens come out one at a time, get washed, and go back in the opening they came from. Old frames bend. We know.
  • Booties inside, alwaysEvery time, on every floor, no exceptions and no reminders needed.
  • Shop-vac and cleanup disciplineAny mess we make, we take with us. That includes the drips.
  • Gutter debris bagged and hauledNo leaf pile on your lawn. No black streaks on the patio. It leaves in our truck.
  • A final walkthrough with youWe walk it together before we ask for a dollar. If something is not right, we fix it while we are still standing there.
  • After photos, same daySent to you the day of the visit, whether you were home or not.
  • A “Noticed” noteAnything we saw that you should know about — a loose gutter hanger, a failed window seal, rot at a sill. Written down, no sales pressure attached.

Protecting the property

What we do before the water comes on.

Most of the damage in this trade happens in the first ten minutes, before anyone has cleaned anything. So most of our care goes there.

  • Beds pre-soaked. Planting beds and shrubs get wet down before any cleaning solution goes on the wall, and rinsed again after.
  • Furniture and grills moved, then put back where they were.
  • Hardscape watched. Patios, walkways, decks and stone get rinsed clean of anything that lands on them.
  • Windows and doors checked for gaps before we wash anything above them.
  • Screens tracked. Each one goes back in the opening it came out of. Old aluminum frames bend if you rush.
  • Ladders set properly, on stable ground, with a spotter where the ground says so. If it is not safe, we do not do it, and we tell you why rather than trying anyway.

If we break something

We tell you before you notice.

Careful people still occasionally break things. The difference is what happens next.

  • We tell you the same day, before we leave if possible.
  • We photograph it and put it in writing.
  • We repair or replace it, or it goes through our liability insurance.
  • We do not quietly reduce the invoice and hope you do not look.

Our certificate of insurance is available on request, before you book. Ask for it. Ask every contractor for it.
